Freo by bike

Episode 2
9th August
Presented By Mat Dwyer

Fremantle is the perfect city to discover by bike. With so many beautiful historical buildings to check out, and plenty of bike paths around you can’t go wrong!

Mat started his bike ride at the Esplanade getting on Marine Terrace and passed the Shipwreck Galleries, housed in the old Commissariat Building.

He kept going on Marine Terrace, took the second exit at the roundabout onto Cliff Street, and a left onto Croke Lane. Croke Lane becomes Little High Street; from here you’ll find the Roundhouse.

Once you’ve had a look around the Roundhouse and taken in the views here, get back onto High Street. Keep going straight until you hit William Street; the Townhall is on your left.

Keep going on William Street and take the second exit at the roundabout onto Parry Street. Turn straight onto Fairbairn Street, you will be seeing the Fremantle Prison when you hit The Terrace.

After this bike ride you’ve deserved a break, so why not head to the Cappuccino Strip for a drink and some great food! Enjoy your ride!
